I agree that 'champion' is a title worthy of respect ~ shame so many champ range guilds are being sold on to others so they can farm champ points off of each other though ~ Its sad.

I did not say using UB was following playstyle. I said theres plenty of mesmers that have fun playing a mesmer and are damn good at it too but I'm sure its a bitch for them to find groups for elite missions and the such so they resort to ursan for a short time to be able to experience them.

Would also like to add in this.

Old but QFT. Makes me feel sorta bad for having an imbagon.

They wouldn't have to resort to UB if they didn't get stuck with stupid people.

To be honest mesmers don't have much of a place in most elite missions. In my eyes why gimp yourself with a profession that isn't much use?

And that's why so many people frown upon them. They're not "gimped," they just have to work a bit harder to "find a spot," per se, in PvE.

Why are people so pissed off at Ursan? I don't run it and don't care for it and i can still find groups that play with real builds..... of course I am a monk and it's not that hard to find groups, but still why all the hate, if you can't beat them! JOIN them! sheeeeeesh.

Because some people don't particularly like pressing 1-2-1-1-2-1-1 while watching TV to be the definition of "elite mission."

Other then what was mentioned b4, of what I have noticed, a lot of "HM" guilds are full ursan runners, so for people like me who like to do HM and elite areas a lot, its either ursan or h/h, which cannot be done in elite areas. Also, for people like me, who hate to rely fully on monks to heal them, Ursans a big no since there are no self-heals.

I say ursan needs a nerf for non-norn areas. So the only elite area that it would be very useful in is Slavers'

Actually I was talking about team leaders gimping themselves.

And? How would they be gimping themselves with a Mesmer that knew how to play?

They do have problems, I won't deny, but saying they're "useless" is a different (and wrong) matter.

Personally I really don't mind ursan. Yes it is overpowering but what really gets me annoyed are people that won't take someone that is rank 8 or 7 in the Norn title track because they believe "your rank is to low" and therefore some how not experienced enough or some other bizarre reason/ idk

If you don't believe me try getting into a group for a fow hm. Elitest pvers?? For button mashing? When did rank matter in a skill that is already overpowered?

This is just my experience. Others experience may vary.

I heard interrupting those nasty high-damage nuker bosses was good. I heard shutting down the enemy mob's healers was good.

Because mesmers don't have a niche, they don't really have a role to play.

I hope you're not assuming they can't contribute anything to the group? One who knows what they're doing can contribute very, very well.

No doubt, but what they contribute just isn't as noticable as say a nuker.
